CDL and Monster reveal $ 75.000 Invitational for Black Ops 7 launch

We don’t have to tell the Call of Duty players and fans, but in case you missed it: Call of Duty - Black Ops 7 was officially launched on Friday, November 14th. A major milestone for the global COD community and a big event in the world of international esports overall, and now the Call of Duty League (CDL) have even taken it a step further. In collaboration with energy drink manufacturer Monster Energy, they recently announced the Monster Launch Invitational 2025, including a prize pool of no less than $ 75.000.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was one of the most highly anticipated moments in international esports this year, a little over a year since the release of Black Ops 6. Activision, the developer behind the hugely popular Call of Duty franchise, and their partners started official marketing for Black Ops 7 back in June, during the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase event. The full reveal of the game took place at Gamescom about two months later. On November 14th, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was officially launched for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
$ 75.000 Monster Launch Invitational 2025
As part of the introduction of the franchise’s newest instalment, the Call of Duty League and Monster Energy have now also announced a brand-new tournament. Under the name “Monster Launch Invitational 2025”, all twelve CDL franchises plus four Challenger teams will be competing for a share of a $ 75.000 prize pool. The event is set to take place online on Saturday, November 22nd 2025, and Sunday, November 23rd 2025.

6th official Black Ops 7 event
With the Monster Launch Invitational 2025, the number of officially sanctioned Black Ops 7 events has now risen to six for the upcoming Black Ops 7 season. No exact date has been provided yet for the start of the inaugural season, but it has been confirmed that it will happen sometime in early December. Like that, the Call of Duty League can full capitalize on the momentum created by the Black Ops 7 launch a couple of weeks earlier.
Apart from the $ 75.000 Monster Launch Invitational 2025, the CDL already confirmed four majors for the upcoming 2026 season:
- Call of Duty League 2026: Stage 1 Major (Dallas, January 29 – February 1)
- Call of Duty League 2026: Stage 2 Major (Birmingham, March 27 – March 29)
- Call of Duty League 2026: Stage 3 Major (Atlanta, May 15 – May 17)
- Call of Duty League 2026: Stage 4 Major (Paris, June 25 – June 28)
On top of that, from July 16 to July 19, there will be the Call of Duty League World Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada.
