When sports and esports meet : French Champions League winner teams up with Galaxy Race

As the world of esports keeps growing at a rapid rate and is expected to be doing so for the foreseeable future, more and more traditional sports teams, athletes, and related companies and parties are considering esports an interesting field to expand into. The most famous and probably most-covered collaboration between sports and esports organizations is the British esports organization Guild Esports teaming up with former Manchester United superstar David Beckham, who also became co-owner of Guild.

Becks is not the only successful footballer who set his sights on the esports universe and its enormous potential. Last week, for example, another big former Manchester United name (and coincidentally a former team mate of Beckham's at the Red Devils) launched his own representation agency, Talent Lyfe. Mikaël Silvestre, who also collected 40 caps for the French national team between 2001 and 2006, founded the agency and announced that they will also be collaborating with Galaxy Racer, a fast-growing esports and lifestyle organization based in Dubai.

About Talent Lyfe and Galaxy Racer

During the official introduction of Talent Lyfe last week, the agency's management explained that their primary focus lies on attracting exceptional footballing talent from all over the world and help those players develop their maximum potential. They will do this based on five basic cornerstones, including social media strategy and image management, professional additional medical and fitness support, and mental preparation.

How does Galaxy Racer fit into these plans, then? Besides being a partner, Galaxy is also an investor in Talent Lyfe, to start with. On top of that, this partnership gives Silvestre's agency the opportunity to make a name for itself in the booming esports world with the help of Galaxy, while it also offers Galaxy itself a few attractive upsides, including in terms of worldwide brand and name exposure in a related industry, of networking, and of elite athlete management expertise and experience.

Galaxy Racer content creators and esports

As an esports organization, Galaxy Racer currently manages thirteen esports teams in different leagues, including League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Fortnite. The organization also boasts four other business segments, namely tournament organization and management, merchandising, content creation, and a record label. Especially the content creation will be of value to Talent Lyfe, as Galaxy manages some of the top content creators for different fields in the world, and particularly in the Southeast Asian, North African, and Middle Eastern regions. With more than 100 creators on board, the organization reaches more than 500 million people and more than two billion views per month. In other words, it's not hard to see how an integration of sports and esports knowledge and networks can be of great value to a new talent agency like Talent Lyfe.
