Riot Games is releasing exclusive content for Amazon Prime members

27 March 2023

Possibly one of the most successful content deals in esports at this very moment is the collaboration between Riot Games, developer of popular titles like League of Legends and Valorant, and Prime Gaming, Amazon Prime’s gaming brand. The recent announcement of the renewal of this partnership therefore comes as no surprise. Besides its continuation as global sponsor of Riot’s international esports activities, Prime Gaming will also offer Amazon Prime members a whole range of exclusive in-game content, like unique character skins, mystery item bundles, and weapons, just to name a few examples. This goes not only for the previously mentioned esports titles, but also games like Legends of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics.

Unique offers for Prime members

Through the renewed deal with Riot, Prime Gaming will be offering exclusive in-game content for different games to its members. While many of the details have not been revealed yet, we do already know that there exists considerable variation per title.

  • League of Legends

From March 2023 onwards, the Prime Gaming Capsule includes a guaranteed epic Mystery Skin Permanent, a Champion Permanent, 350 Riot Points, 4 Champion Shards, and an XP boost (for a period of 30 days).

  • League of Legends: Wild Rift

From March 2023 onwards, there will be free monthly content drops for the mobile game for a period of 12 months, including Recalls, Skins and Baubles.

  • Legends of Runeterra

Beginning in March 2023, Legends of Runeterra players can claim exclusive free content from Prime every month, including Epic Cards, Rare Cards, and Tier 3 Prismatic Chests.

  • Teamfight Tactics

From April 2023 onwards, Prime will be releasing free and exclusive content for the player’s leading autobattler every month for a period of twelve months, such as Star Shard, Emote, and Icon bundles.

  • Valorant

For a period of twelve months, Prime members get timed-exclusive core content on a monthly basis, which includes Player Cards, Gun Buddies, and Sprays.

“Expanding the partnership with Prime Gaming across our games and esports is a win for players around the World, who will continue to enjoy benefits which enhance their fandom”, said Max Boigon, Head of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships at Riot Games, in reaction to the announcement of the renewed collaboration with Prime, “As we grow our portfolio of games and broader entertainment experiences, we are excited Prime Gaming is continuing along for this journey, sharing our long term mission of making it better to be a player across the Riot ecosystem”.

Broadcasting by Prime Gaming

As Riot’s global esports event sponsor, Prime Gaming will continue to have access to all of the content produced and promoted by the game studio. This includes the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), and the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC). Prime Gaming offers all of it to its subscribers via its different broadcasting channels on computer, console, and mobile devices.

“Prime Gaming has been a longstanding partner for Riot, and we’re proud to share a mutual commitment toward providing deeper experiences that make it more rewarding to be a fan,” stated John Needham, President of Esports at Riot Games. “We’re proud to have a partner like Prime Gaming supporting our broad fan base across LoL Esports, the VALORANT Champions Tour, and Teamfight Tactics”.
