Worlds champions T1 open second Base Camp in Busan (S. Korea)
9 December 2025
“You’ve got to strike when the iron is hot”, meaning that you have got to act decisively when conditions are favorable. That’s how the famous saying goes and it looks like T1 is more than familiar with it. The successful and infamous Korean esports organization just recently won the League of Legends World Championship for a record-breaking third time in a row, and they are now using that momentum to push the entire organization forward. Not even a month after clinching Worlds 2025, T1 have revealed the location of their second PC Café, named T1 Base Camp, which will open in the South Korean city of Busan. The new venue represents the next step in T1’s Korean and international esports legacy.
Soft opening
The new T1 PC Café will be located in Haeundae’s Gunam-ro district, in Busan, and it will be the second PC Café to open after the first location in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. The Busan location is set to have a soft opening on Wednesday, December 10th, followed by an official opening two days later. The soft opening mainly allows a select group of fans and followers to get early access to the venue and to organize a couple of exclusive pre-launch events.
With gaming and esports as the base, the new PC Café will actually be launched as a multi-concept entertainment venue. The founders emphasize that it was not created as just a space for T1 supporters and face to gather, but for the broader gaming community in Busan as well. The Base Camp, as the venue is officially called, features high-spec PC zones with the latest technologies, private gaming rooms and an official T1 merchandise store. There is also the T1 Pub, a lounge with large screens where people can chill out while enjoying a bite and watching their favorite sports and esports games.
Competitive edge
T1 would not be T1 though, if there was not a competitive edge to the new PC Café as well. We are talking, after all, about the best League of Legends team to ever do it. The new venue is also set to play a strategic role in the discovery and development of new generation of Korean and international esports talent. Besides training and development programs, including actual try-outs for the T1 third team, the Busan Base Camp will also be used to host amateur tournaments, training sessions and other events. With two locations, T1 wants to continue making their PC Cafés into the number one gaming cafés in South Korea, and a major revenue-generating business for the company as well.
“T1 BASE CAMP Busan is more than just an offline venue”, explain Josh Ahn, Chief Operating Officer at T1, “It is a new type of esports hub where fans can gather, play, watch matches, and connect through T1’s content and culture. Through the Busan location, we look forward to expanding T1’s brand experience and contributing to the growth of esports communities across the country.”
